Why Attend Club Officer Training? (Click here for Summer 2010 training dates)

  • You help your Club by being formally trained for your position.
  • You also gain the opportunity to meet your District leaders and can network with other club officers in the same position - some with lots of experience and great ideas to share! Please bring your Club Officer handbook with you when you attend training.
  • Having four (4) Club Officers trained in both training periods - July to December and January to June - will fulfill Goal #9 in the Distinguished Club Program (DCP). When all 7 Club Officers are trained, your club earns a prestigious ribbon for your banner!

For a Club to receive credit, all Club Officers attending training must be listed on the Club Officer List registered with Toastmasters International. Additionally, each Club Officer must sign the training log for the office they hold and attend the full training session to receive credit. Please send your Club Officer List to Toastmasters International by 01 July and 01 January so your training will count for your Club.

NOTES:
1. For planning purposes, all Club Officers should plan on spending at least two hours attending both the district update and club officer training. Presidents and VPEs training sessions last 1.5 hours; all other Officers should plan on 1.0 hour of training.

2. Club Officers that hold the same office in multiple clubs can receive credit for both clubs by attending one training for the office held. Members that hold different Club offices must attend training for each office held to receive credit for each office held.

3. Club Officer Trainers, if training the club office that they hold, will receive credit for attending training. If the Trainer does not hold the office being trained, neither the Trainer nor the Club will receive credit.

4. Any Club Officer that attends a Train the Trainer session will receive credit for attending training.
